Some of the timber carved vessels I've worked on the last few years
Exploring relationships between painting, sculpture and traditional object, the timber sculptures draws on the timeless forms of classical Greek and Roman vases, fusing them with contemporary modern abstraction. The works transform solid plywood material into expressive Biomorphic forms that communicate surface and structure, gesture, and mass. The objects often suggest the organic, the visceral, and the subconscious.
