Usually visual is an exhibition that aims to engage viewers in an immersive experience, where they can explore the intriguing phenomenon of pareidolia through the medium of sculpture.
Pareidolia, is the tendency to perceive recognizable patterns or images in random stimuli, this is a universal human experience. This exhibition seeks to celebrate and invite the viewer to explore their own perceptions and conscious and unconscious visual interpretations of the objects.

In August 2023 Lesjak-atton attended a three-week residency the Pickers hut in Tasmania’s Huon valley courtesy of Artist and sculptor Matt Calvert. In this time period i was able to explore, play and create a series of carved and painted timber sculptures, each work is constructed by building up layers of laminated plywood that is then freeform carved with an angle grinder and then primed and painted. Many of the works shown in this exhibition were created during my time of exploration and workshopping at this residency in Tasmania.
